At 25 weeks pregnant, your belly will be like the size of volleyball. Your baby will have grown so much bigger since the last month, weighting around 1 pound! You will notice your baby is starting to roam and wander around a lot in your uterus. This is because your baby has developed sufficient dexterity in his hands and legs. Thus, the position of your baby is not fixed; he/she can still be lying head up or head down, feet in a forward or backward position. You will probably find many more fetal movements when you are at rest- it’s normal as it would mean your baby is healthy and active! If your partner is attentive enough to the position of your baby, he can even hear your baby’s heartbeat! Your baby‘s primitive memories will already be building up now. Remember to book for the ultrasound appointment with your doctor and go with your partner or family. Looking at your baby’s movement from the ultrasound images can be assuring that your baby is healthy and growing strong. Having pictures of your 25 week pregnancy baby can be a memorable addition to your family album too. If you are bored at home, you can think up your baby’s name (if you haven’t!) together with your partner and family.
